ERIKA LOVES BARING ALL

:
TRAFFIC star ERIKA CHRISTENSEN loves getting naked because she's very proud of
her body. The pretty actress went topless for a shocking scene in new US TV
series SIX DEGREES and admits she really was naked for the shoot - even though
the director had to be careful with what he shot. Christensen says, "I don't
have a problem with it. In real life, I'm always changing clothes in front of
my girlfriends and asking if it's OK later. "I like my body - every bit of it -
because it represents me. On my forearm are three little moles, and I see them
and think, 'That's my arm.'"

Nudist plan to fly ultra-light

Plans are in the pipeline for the first-ever nudist passenger flight. And it'll
be a transatlantic one taking off Madrid too.
Passengers will wear nothing but their seat belts but it is still not known
whether the flight attendants will be wearing clothes or not.
A number of international naturist organizations are planning to charter a
"nudist plane" in 2008 to take members to Brazil to attend the World Congress
of Naturists. But seats will also be made available to others not going to the
congress but who "would like to share the experience". Cartoon by Rytis.

Soul mates to shipmates
Cruises unite like-minded passengers
By Richard P. Carpenter, Globe Correspondent | September 24, 2006
When Holland America's Maasdam sets sail to the Caribbean in February, the
first thing most of the 1,250 passengers will do is shed their clothes. Every
stitch.
And why not? They
will be participating in a nudist cruise -- just one of many special-interest
sailings that cater to fans of everything from Star Trek to chocolate
concoctions to the sound of Sinatra. The people who organize such cruises,
sometimes chartering an entire ship, say they are a wonderful way for people
with similar interests or lifestyles to get together.
Take the clothing-optional cruises. Nancy Tiemann, president and co-owner of
Bare Necessities Tour & Travel, says that ``going to sea and nudity is a
perfect match." Participants feel a level of comfort they sometimes can't find
on land: Because the ship is filled with only nudist passengers, there is no
snickering and no sitting by the pool in a soggy bathing suit . Passengers,
however, are required to dress when the ship is in port -- one reason , Tiemann
says , ``we like those days at sea" -- and in the formal dining room, although
what they wear tends to be more informal than on traditional cruises.
How popular is nude cruising? In addition to the 10-night Hidden Jewels of the
Caribbean sailing, which leaves from Fort Lauderdale on Feb. 3, three more such
cruises are planned next year, some on ships larger than the Maasdam. No
matter: ``Whatever the ship's capacity is, that's what we usually sell," says
Tiemann.
Another popularly themed cruise with multiple sailings centers on Christianity.
``Passengers find a family -friendly environment that enriches their religious
experience," says Honnie Korngold, president of Christian Travel Finder, which
has five Christian-themed cruises coming up this year and next. One of the most
popular is Cruise with a Cause, sailing from Port Canaveral, Fla., to Nassau
and Coco Cay, Bahamas, June 4-8 aboard Royal Caribbean's Sovereign of the Seas.
``We had 2,300 participants last year," says Korngold, ``and this year we are
expecting 2,600."
Passengers keep on the sunny side with Christian music, talks by leading
evangelists, special events for children, and mission work ashore. But one of
the biggest attractions is what isn't there. Unlike most cruises, no alcohol is
served aboard and the casinos are shut tight.
Music of all kinds plays a part in many cruises, but it is the reason for a
few. Two music-themed cruises, in fact, have strong Boston connections.
One is the seven-night Sinatra Tribute Cruise, hosted by Boston radio
personality Ron Della Chiesa, and departing March 18 from Fort Lauderdale for a
week in the western Caribbean aboard the Costa Mediterranea -- fittingly, an
Italian ship.
Della Chiesa's mellow voice has been heard Saturday nights on WPLM -FM 's
``Strictly Sinatra" for a decade. Among his listeners are Dan and June Weiner,
who run Galaxsea Cruises and Tours in Ashland and decided there could be no
better host for such a sailing.Continued...
Says Della Chiesa: ``Sinatra was such an icon and he left such a legacy" that
people from their 30s to their 70s are turned on by the man and his music. Of
all the tribute singers who could have been welcomed aboard, Della Chiesa chose
Steve Marvin, considering him simply the best. In addition, there will be talks
about Sinatra, trivia contests, and, as Della Chiesa puts it, ``reminiscing and
tall stories" about the powerful and sometimes politically incorrect ``Chairman
of the Board." Another attraction will be Della Chiesa himself because many
people who have listened to him for years want to put a face to the voice.
The Sinatra Tribute will be a cruise within a cruise in that most of the
special events will be only for passengers who book through Galaxsea, and more
than 100 are expected to do so. All of the ship's general events for the other
2,000 or so passengers will, of course, be open to the Sinatra seagoers.
The same holds true for those who remain lost in the '50s and book passage
aboard the Norwegian Majesty for Harvey Robbins's 16th Annual Doo-Wopp & Rock
'n' Roll Boston to Bermuda Cruise, May 20-27 . Some 150 of the ship's 1,460
passengers are expected to book through Robbins for admittance into the
concerts, games, and contests.
There are always several doo-wopp stars aboard. Eugene Pitt of the Jive Five
has signed on and other possibilities are Shirley Reeves of the Shirelles and
Earl Carroll of the Cadillacs. In addition, Robbins's Royalty of Rock and Roll
All-Stars will be onboard. Robbins's energetic showmanship is a drawing card,
too. Just ask Bob Kelley of Salisbury, who with his wife , Rose , has taken the
cruise six years straight. ``Ya gotta love Harvey," he says. ``He's doing what
he loves and it shows."
Music has been called the food of love, but lovers of food want the real thing.
Food and wine events at sea are hardly a novelty -- unless, perhaps, the food
in question is chocolate.
On Dec. 11, the Regent Seven Seas Navigator will embark from Fort Lauderdale on
a weeklong Caribbean cruise that showcases chocolate and other favorite
desserts. Christophe Michalak, head pastry chef at the Hotel Plaza Athenee
Paris , will treat dinner guests to the dessert that won him a gold medal at
the 2005 Pastry World Cup along with three other signature desserts during the
cruise. He will also show how to make some of his favorite treats during two
cooking demonstrations. And for those who like to drink their dessert, Thierry
Hernandez, director of the Bar du Plaza Athenee, will concoct such
tasty-sounding libations as martini lollies and jellied cosmopolitans.
For those with alternative lifestyles, a cruise can be a breakthrough
experience. A gay cruise, for instance, ``is especially helpful to people from
small towns in getting to know people who share their lifestyle," says Diane
Berube, travel service manager of Gay Days Travel, which books cabins on
cruises for the general public and holds special events for the 100 to 200 gays
who typically come aboard. The agency's First ``Official " Women's Gay Days
Cruise will be aboard the Carnival Sensation, a three-night trip leaving Port
Canaveral Jan . 18 and heading to Nassau. In addition to entertainment, there
will be gifts, goody bags, and get-togethers.
There are many more special-interest cruises, among them sailings geared to
lovers of all things Irish, baseball fans, history buffs, antiques hunters, and
those who devour dance, design, and literature. But here's one that's out of
this world, sort of. Cruise Trek is putting together its 15th annual Star Trek
cruise, visiting Australia and New Zealand aboard Holland America's Staatendam
Nov. 4-18, 2007.
While details are incomplete, the past trips, which have attracted from 100 to
750 passengers, show there is a lot more to the cruises than just walking
around in Spock ears. Actors from the legendary TV show are aboard, and there
are TV-parody games such as Match Trek and Wheel of Trek, contests, and rituals
known only to Star Trek fans. People do dress up in Trekkie costumes, says
Charles Datin, president of Cruise Trek, but how many varies from year to year.
Datin's interest in all things Trek is understandable since his father,
Richard, built the original model of the Starship Enterprise for the show.
After the cruise, there is an Internet chat room, where participants discuss
their adventures, friendships, even romances. The cruise may not beam them up,
but it appears to leave them beaming.

NUDISM is not about sex
|
По сообщению с

:
How I dared to be bareTamara Pitelen
September 24, 2006 12:00am
NUDISM is not about sex, honest. I've been told this by at least 20 people at
Pacific Sun Friends, a nudist camp on the Sunshine Coast. After two days here,
I've watched as a lot of mostly middle-aged naked people play minigolf, take
nature walks, sunbathe or sit around chatting.
I'm assured that sex is not on anyone's mind and that true nudists take their
clothes off to feel free, shed the trappings of the material world and liberate
themselves of society's hang-ups. So why can't I stop thinking about sex? If
there's a deviant impostor in their midst, it's me.
I daren't tell my hosts; they'd be disappointed. Pacific Sun Friends is owned
by James and Jan Bishop. Both 60, they've been nudists for 30 years and nicer
people you'd be hard-pressed to find. For them, nudism is about living a more
peaceful existence.
James, a former deacon of the Catholic church, believes nudism is a great
equaliser, the first step to self-acceptance and enlightenment.
"There are two types of nudist," says James. "Some people just feel comfortable
without clothes on. They don't really want to think about it too deeply, they
just feel comfortable and that's the most important thing.
"Then there's another nudist, who wants to know why they feel good. That type
of nudist is more spiritually inclined."
James was working as a ganger for the Department of Main Roads when he got into
nudism. He was aged 30, and the 60ha of bush he'd been given by his parents for
his 21st birthday was sitting unused - until one of his co-workers suggested he
use the land for a nudist camp.
"I thought it was a great idea. So I went with him to check out a nudist place
and even though I wasn't nude myself, I started shaking in my boots. That's
when I had to ask myself, 'What's making me feel like this?'
"It took me a while to realise that it was me, my problem. I learnt that I had
to let go of the material values in my mind, which are represented by the
clothes we wear or the flash car or the big house or whatever. Those things
aren't important, but the attitude towards them is. It's a mind process."
James and Jan met at the camp. She had been a regular visitor with her first
husband before he died. Like every woman I speak to at the haven, Jan became a
nudist to keep her husband happy.
"I wasn't really up for it," says Jan, "because I thought that if you joined a
club or an organisation like this, it was a sexual thing . . . but after one or
two visits, I realised that everything I thought about the place was wrong.
Everyone here was normal and friendly."
The Bishops are adamant the club is not about promiscuity. At the bottom of its
guidelines it reads in bold lettering: "Definitely no swingers allowed."
Despite all attempts to keep their nudist haven free from wanton thoughts, one
of the most common questions from new (male) nudists is:, "What if, um,
something comes up?"
Jan says: "We've had single and married males say that even the breeze will
cause them to have an erection, but if that happens here, the man just
discreetly turns around, or he might just sit down for a while, or put his
towel around him.
"Nudists aren't prudes or anything, but you generally don't walk around with an
erection. It's one of those unwritten rules."
Apart from on private property, such as Pacific Sun Friends, public nudity is
an offence in all states and territories of Australia, although - apart from
Queensland and Tasmania - they all have legal clothes-optional beaches, and all
have unofficial nudist beaches.
The Aussie attitude to the naked body contrasts sharply with European
countries. In Denmark, all but two of the beaches are clothes-optional and
France has its own nudist town, Cap d'Agde.
Cap d'Agde is a nude beach resort that attracts about 300,000 visitors a year.
It has all the infrastructure of a small town, including a hotel, shops,
restaurants and bars. This is the place to go if you want to shop or get a
haircut in the buff.
Nudism as a social movement doesn't get much attention these days. Nudists are
usually lumped into two categories by the rest of us: slightly mad ageing
hippies or those using nudism as a flimsy excuse for orgies.
In the English-speaking world, it wasn't until the sexual repression of Queen
Victoria's era, which saw even table legs covered up in order to prevent
arousal, that nudity, sex and sin became intertwined.
Something of a backlash began in Germany in the 1890s, with Heinrich Pudor, the
"father of nudism". His book, The Cult of the Nude, promoted naturism as a
natural lifestyle, along with the idea that the sun's rays hold healing
properties.
In 1903, again in Germany, the first organised club for nudists, Freilichtpark
(Free Light Park), was opened. Guests were subjected to a regimen of no alcohol
or tobacco, a vegetarian diet and calisthenics. Not everyone was a fan, but one
thing did come out of it - the feeling that social nudity had a positive
psychological effect. Nudists felt a bond.
Many of the regulars at Pacific Sun Friends mention - unprompted - this bond.
Being nude together breaks down social barriers and facilitates close and firm
friendships.
One of these regulars is Bob. He's 83 and can't get very far without his
walking frame. He's been a nudist for 10 years and lives at the camp from
Friday to Monday every week. Why does he like to be nude?
"I don't know, it's just that . . . the sun feels good on your skin," he says.
"People have funny ideas about nudism. They think everyone's running around
chasing each other. They criticise it, and yet they've never been anywhere to
actually experience what goes on."
He says that if he goes into the unisex showers and there's a female in there,
they just have a chat and he thinks nothing of it. I ask if he thinks that
might be different if he were 33, not 83. "Possibly so," he says.
The nudist movement in Australia does seem to be an older person's pastime.
Most of the people at Pacific Sun Friends are over 45, several have walking
frames and one man is wearing a catheter bag.
So where are all the young people? Why haven't generations X and Y embraced
nudism? Perhaps it's because anti-pedophilia hysteria has fathers
self-conscious about kissing their children in public and airlines forbidding
single men to sit next to kids travelling alone. Not to mention the swing to
more conservative values and a suffocating body obsession.
After all this talk, the final step to gaining a better understanding of nudism
is actually getting my clothes off. So far, I've avoided it because
first-timers are not expected to disrobe until they feel comfortable.
I am dreading it. I totally buy the idea (in theory) that the human body is
nothing to be ashamed of, no matter how lumpy or scarred. But I'm the offspring
of devout Catholics from the north of England who were brought up steeped in
Biblical guilt and shame. So it is with a great deal of trepidation that I
strip off and head to the shower block.
A couple of minutes later, James walks in. Deep mortification consumes me. He
is dressed in a T-shirt and shorts and is going around the campsite putting up
posters for an annual nudist get-together in November. I silently beg for a
shower curtain to miraculously appear.
I will James to leave but he doesn't. He just keeps chatting about the party,
as I stand trapped beneath the shower with nowhere to hide. It is excruciating.
The fact that most of the women here are twice my size makes absolutely no
difference to me right now. In front of James, I feel on display, vulnerable
and defenceless.
After what seems like an hour, he leaves. I scurry back to my caravan and yank
on my clothes. Clearly, I have some issues to work through before I can
comprehend liberation through nudity but I'm not sure I can be bothered. I'm
not convinced that, for me, this is the best path for spiritual growth.
These days, the ideals of the nudist movement almost seem quaint and it seems
naive to think that just by shedding our clothes we can make the world a better
place. Then again, I could be wrong.

Pasco nudists recall 'hypocritical' campaign
Foley's attempt to close Lake Como's kids camp in 2003 failed. Naturists are
asked now not to gloat.
By STEVE BOUSQUET, Times Staff Writer
Published October 2, 2006
TALLAHASSEE - Three years ago, U.S. Rep. Mark Foley demanded that the state
investigate a summer nudist camp for kids in Pasco County, warning it could
expose innocent children to pedophiles.
After reading a news item about the camp in the New York Times, Foley, a U.S.
Senate candidate at the time, sent letters to Gov. Jeb Bush and Attorney
General Charlie Crist in 2003.
"The situation clearly raises legitimate issues that should be addressed, given
that it involves minor children," Foley wrote, citing his post as co-chairman
of the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus.
Foley compared the camps to child pornography and child modeling Web sites and
wrote: "I believe they may be endangering these children."
Recent revelations of Foley's sexually explicit e-mails to underage male pages
on Capitol Hill carries a special resonance with the nudists who say Foley
maligned them as child pornographers.
"I just find this very hypocritical," said Shirley Mason, a longtime naturist
in Miami. "There is no correlation between people who skinny-dip and perverts
who want to harm children."
Mason said she was especially troubled by news reports suggesting that Foley
was sending suggestive e-mails to pages as early as 2001, two years before he
targeted the nudist camp.
"If you see evil in everything, chances are there's evil within you," Mason
said.
Foley's high-profile campaign to close the camp brought a windfall of
publicity, but little more. State authorities concluded the camp operated
legally and that children were separated from adults.
The camp at Lake Como in Land O'Lakes was run by the American Association for
Nude Recreation and remained open after state authorities decided it was
operating legally. Florida law allows underage nudity as long as it is not
lewd.
"We are unaware of any reports of criminal acts or child abuse, neglect or
exploitation," responded Bush's general counsel, Raquel Rodriguez.
Her letter cited a Florida Supreme Court decision in which justices drew a
legal distinction between parents who practice nudity as a lifestyle and
parents who exploit children for monetary or sexual gain.
A spokesman for Crist said the office had no record of the attorney general
responding to Foley's letter, most likely because the governor's office
answered it.
In the summer of 2003, Foley trumpeted his call for an investigation on MSNBC's
Scarborough Country, Fox's The O'Reilly Factor, CBS's The Early Show and ABC's
Good Morning America.
He even launched a Web site in which he invited people to send their complaints
about the camp. The site no longer exists.
Eric Schuttauf, executive director of the American Association for Nude
Recreation, e-mailed the group's members after the Foley scandal broke,
cautioning them not to gloat over their former critic's downfall.
Three years ago, Foley "took less than an hour to frame an incorrect impression
of those camps," Schuttauf wrote.
"As a credible voice of reason for nude recreation, we will not make the same
mistake."

Naturist club could be forced to close
By Justin Dunn
A NEW private members club in Hoylake that offers "relaxation and adult
entertainment" could be forced to close this week.
Reflections opened its doors in a former warehouse unit on the Carr Lane
industrial estate in June, shortly before the start of the prestigious Open
Golf Championship at Royal Liverpool.
A local naturist society is advertising itself on the internet saying
Reflections is its new monthly meeting place for members.
Previously, members of the group would meet at Norwegian Wood, a well-known
massage parlour in Hoylake's Market Street that closed shortly before
Reflections began operating.
On its website, after giving details of Reflections' address and directions on
how to get there, the group states: "Members are able to enjoy their
Reflections' full facilities, which includes a sauna, Jacuzzi, shower room,
pool room, locker room and lounge." The site said the group did not
discriminate "on grounds of gender or sexual orientation, is open to singles,
both male & female, and couples", adding: "The object of the club is for people
of like mind to get together in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere and,
hopefully, form friendship."
Council enforcement officers made a site visit to Reflections in July and
subsequently reported that the unauthorised use of the building as a private
members club was a breach of planning regulations.
The occupier of the premises has since submitted a planning application asking
for retention of use of the building as a private members club.
However, that application - which will go before Wirral Council's planning
committee tomorrow, Thursday - recommends refusal on the grounds that the area
is primarily industrial and the use of the building as a private members club
is "a departure from the Development Plan" for the area. Councillors are also
being asked to consider enforcement action against Reflections, with officers
recommending "action should be taken to secure the cessation of use of the unit
as a private members club".
AT the same planning committee, a first-floor massage parlour on Poulton Road
in Seacombe that council officers report "have been used for prostitution which
is unsuitable in this location given proximity of schools" could be allowed to
stay.
A proposal by the owners for the "retention of use to health studio, massage
and aromatherapy" is listed for approval.

VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980) - The Wreck Beach Conservation Society says there is a
lot more than rainwater draining off the the north slope of the UBC grounds.
And it wants more money released to properly monitor what it says is an
environmental nightmare.
Judy Williams with the Society says the pollutants are in the storm sewer
runoff.
She says UBC has already promised up to 85-thousand dollars a year to find the
source of the pollution but so far the money has not been released, "We do know
that the data exists that show these water courses coming from the University
including the spiral storm drain to the north part of campus and Booming Ground
Creek and in the middle coming from roughly the Botanical Garden area are
contaminated with heavy doses of fecal coliform and heavy metals about the
limits for human safety."
Williams wll be making a formal request for the funds to be released at the
GVRD/UBC Joint Committee meeting on Wednesday.

LIFE STYLE EXTRA (UK) - Britney Spears loves being naked.
The 'Toxic Singer', who recently gave birth to her second son, Sutton Pierce,
admits she enjoys stripping off and regularly walks around the house she shares
with husband Kevin Federline and her two sons in the buff.
She revealed to Britain's Q magazine: "I've always been very comfortable being
nude. I don't feel like I have anything to hide."
Britney posed nude for the front cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine while she
was pregnant with Sutton Pierce.
The image of the pop superstar covering her breasts with her arms and crossing
her legs caused a stir across the world and was even deemed "too stimulating"
for young people by Japanese authorities.
An advertising poster showing the picture was banned from all Tokyo subways by
the Metro authorities.

and reinvesting the money in other library services.
But the Friends of Kingsteignton Library got so hot under the collar about the
proposals that they bared all in a poster protest.
More than 1,000 people have signed a petition to keep the library.
'Spur of the moment'
Kingsteignton campaigner Mike Walters said: "We have bared our souls to the public, saying that the library really has got to stay.
LIBRARIES UNDER THREAT:
Appledore;
Colyto;
Geneva, Bideford;
Heavitree, Exeter;
Ipplepen;
Kingskerswell;
Kingsteignton;
Kingswear;
Pinhoe;
Primley, Sidmouth;
Stoke Fleming;
Shaldon.
"The library is the hub of the village. It is not just books, there are
computers, it is an information centre and it is close to the school which also
uses it."
Colleague Carolyn Moist said: "The poster happened on the spur of the moment. A
calendar would have taken too long.
"It has a very serious message, so we needed a striking image to grab
everyone's attention."
The county council said that reorganisation was being mooted in order to
"modernise and improve" the service.
A decision will be made before Christmas after 5,000 responses to the
consultation are analysed.

Naked runner's offer is no bull

:
She ran naked through the streets for the cause she believes in, now Helena
Youle has taken her campaign for animal rights a step further.
Helena, 30, pictured above, from Beinheim Gardens, Havant, has set up her own
holiday company-with all profits going directly to animal charities.
Helena's love for animals saw her running through the streets of Pamplona in
Spain absolutely starkers to protest against the The Running of the Bulls
festival in July.
Now the committed vegan, who is heavily involved with promoting animal rights,
has created Holidays with a Conscience.
'For me this is the best way to raise funds towards my animal charities,' she
said.
'At the same time, I feel I am also providing a holiday sanctuary with a
difference.
'For those who may not know the aims of animal charities, this could be the
best way for them to take their first step.
'And even if animal charities are not on top of their list of priorities, they
will still be contributing towards a positive cause.'
As Helena and her family were already planning to buy a holiday home in Italy,
the country provided the ideal starting point for the new company.
Now people can enjoy their stay in the Tuscany villa with the added feel-good
factor that they are contributing to a good cause.
The novel idea has already been approved by Helena's family and friends who
have spent time in the village of Tavernell, north-west Tuscany, where the
three-bedroom house forms part of a group of listed medieval buildings known as
a borgo, or hill village.
In July Helena wore nothing but plastic bull horns and a red scarf as she ran
naked through the streets of Pamplona as part of a campaign aimed at stopping
the annual Running of the Bulls.
The week-long Festival of San Fermin sees six bulls and six cows released to
stampede through the streets and into the bull ring every day.
In protest, campaigners from the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals
(PETA) hold the Running of the Nudes the day before the first bull run.
Helena said: 'The aim was that the running of the Nudes would be more of an
attraction and that the Running of the Bulls will fizzle out.'

|
По сообщению с
www.adme.ru:

|
По сообщению с
www.gazeta.ru:
