"Nude" implies that Nudity is involved in it and "Recreation" obviously
invite to a recreational mode rather than only a rhetorical or
near-theological mode.
It is a very inclusive term and the interpretation of such is left to the
individual.
Buk, in his clever response, sums up perfectly what it is meant in the
context presented by T.W.A.N. and being fully experienced at TGB.
Any negative idea about Nude Recreation would be in the mind of the beholder
and has nothing to do with the basic idea of Being "At Ease With Nudity" as
clearly presented with us. Only that it is far more inclusive and not into
repeated denial as compared to what some profess as being nudism/naturism.

The "mainstream propaganda machine" and feeder of the general populus
keeps making of Nudity a forbidden, alien notion that one should shy
away from.
The censors, in full function in either cinema or TV viewing, will make
sure that the "selected" parts of the body that are judged offensive,
therefore not permitted to be viewed by such general public, while at
once the presentation of any weaponry and blood gushing scenes (although
derivative of special effects) be absolutely well received by same said
censors.
Ultimately, the traumas keep being fed and, ignorance prevailing, the
feeders keep making sure such public beware of the possibility of seeing
the "offensive" parts of the body but will openly certify that violence
is acceptable, non-offending and current to what one is allowed to view.
This trauma extend to the Nude Recreation option as many of the
practitioners feel they have to hide being involved in the practice of
such as if it is to be kept so secretive with the idea nobody should be
told about it for fear of being offended.
So, since many of those practitioners are only going for Nude Recreation
as a passing fad, the few pioneers who dare stating publicly being At
Ease With Nudity are frowned upon by those same said zigzagging
practitioners.
Being bold and straightforward about the intent to have the public react
to the inherent fact of Nudity seems to be an unacceptable approach by
the silent and near anonymous practitioners of Nude Recreation, but
mostly some (and luckily not all) of those identified as pure
Nudists/Naturists.
What does the public at large feel when witnessing this antagonistic
conduct from some of those declared advocates of either nudism/naturism
while, at once, their vilified attacks are constantly directed at those
who are honestly bold about their commitment to have Nudity be
recognized for what it truly is, rather than being presented as a
foreign despicable notion in the same copy-cat fashion than the
mainstream and other victims of such mindset who obviously have already
infiltrated the ranks of the more affirmative Nude Recreationers.
The silent readers are mostly invited to comment on this as they are the
ones who can tell what they feel when they read the bold affirmative
stance of the few daring pioneers being denigrated in such an
hypocritical way by those purer than thou who are usually sitting on the
fence when progress are made for the acceptance of Nudity as it should
be by any rational human being.
What the mainstream and any of its spokespersons has done to make Nudity
so evil... is in itself an absolute offense to the sanity of those
victimized by such irrational propaganda.
Of course all is not lost when one considers that an alternative to such
regression is kindly offered to the many who question the mainstream's
inanities in regard of the presentation (or lack of such) of Nudity....
when looking us up...;-)

John rightly helps expose the sad infiltration of few unhappy
disgruntled ones who, at all times, are always coming with high
excessive and negative responses to those who want to feel that Nude
Recreation indeed offers great alternatives to the hang-ups and traumas
long perpetuated in regard of Nudity.
Seeing the few low graded responses from the same ones John has rightly
uncovered, one wonders if it's the case.
But since many know better, it actually allows to pinpoint that those
few sad cases are only in here to disrupt the progress made by Champions
of the Body Positive, like Vincent and others (Myself included), so that
the public at large can realize the few unhappy ones are no authority at
all in the presentation of what Nude Recreation (identified as
nudism/naturism by some) is meant to be.

It's in the manner the responses come out that one can easily determine
who has class of the positive kind versus those who are excessive in
their usual low-graded name callings.

They appear to be self-elected and they obviously rage at the idea that
pioneers in the likes of Vincent are generating more attention for being
bold and visible in one's gutsy stand for the acceptance of being At
Ease With Nudity by the public at large.
Being non-member of this type of Little Tribe is not much of a concern,
after all.
It's only that those few frenzied ones be not taken seriously in their
vain, yet repeated attempts at ganging against those who make way for
the cause of Body Acceptance with such public at large. That's where it
matters most. Not the few loud and unhappy virtual voices ("cyber
nuddies" as Mike H. rightly calls some of them..) of the closeted kind.

A very accurate sample of what those few frantic ones are all about
John, but in no way a reflection of the friendliness of most people
involved with anything to do with being At Ease With Nudity, Nude
Recreation or whichever other term is given to such.

The kind of "Naturism" I see advocated by the few of you(s) needs to be set back
